Martin Chavez, Sr., was born March 27, 1966 in Juarez, Mexico to Joe and Virginia Chavez. He grew up in the El Paso, Texas; until the age of 14, when the family moved to the Bay City area.
Martin attended public schools in Bay City, Texas where he graduated. He was a Catholic and attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
He was employed at Formosa Plastics in Point Comfort, Texas; as a Pipe Fitter until His Health began to fail and he was no longer able to work.
Those who knew Martin knew he loved to have a good time. He loved to party and BBQ and spend time with his family. His Grandchildren were his life. He was a great father, brother, and friend to all who knew him.
On July 24, 2020; God called him home to rest.
He is survived by: His Mother-Virginia Hernandez Chavez, of Ciudad Juarez; Two Sisters-JoAnn(Alvaro)Montoya; Graciela(Robert) Morales; Two Brothers-Javier Chavez, and Rafael(Kim)Chavez; Two Daughters-Samantha(Charles)Chavez; Erika Chavez; One Son-Martin(Desirae)Chavez; Five Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
