On April 5, 1998, a baby boy was born to Clemith Dowyle Austin, II and Cunnicia Franklin, whom they named Artrell LaDowyle Austin, affectionately known as “Trell.”
He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Fellowship Tabernacle Church under the leadership Pastor A. H. Floyd. Later he moved to Houston and joined Higher Dimension Church, under the leadership of Pastor Terrance Johnson.
He attended elementary school in Bay City, but later moved to Houston where he attended public schools in the HISD, graduating with the Class of 2016 from Elsik High School. While attending high school he accepted an internship with Shell Oil Company. After graduating high school he attended college at Sam Houston State University, in Huntsville, Texas, studying Mechanical Engineering then later changing his major to Pre-Med.
He was employed at Oxea Chemical Company for Gray Wolf in Bay City, Texas, as a Material Handler for over 1 year.
Artrell loved being around his family and loved ones. He enjoyed watching movies, fishing trips, dancing, partying, and playing video games. He always got a kick out of asking people for money without anyone else knowing about it. Education was so important to him that he began tutoring children in his spare time.
